Mote Marine Laboratory and its Protect Our Reefs program, pioneers in coral reef restoration and research in southeastern Florida and the Florida Keys, are proud to announce our free kids fishing seminar held during the 2013 Florida Keys Ocean Festival.

Our goal is to teach children the basics of fishing skills, tackle, responsible catch and release practices, knot tying, and safety.
Time & Place: Sat. March 30th 2013
THERE ARE TWO SESSIONS
12pm and 2pm@ the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center
All kids will need to be checked in at the Information booth located at the front entrance of the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center 30 minutes prior to your seminar time.

Late arrivals will unfortunately lose their spot to the next person on the waiting list.

Parents welcome to join the kids in our fishing camp and afterwards, fishing will take place from our barge docked behind the Florida Keys Eco Discovery Center.

Again...This event is open to children ages 5-11.
(Sorry, no exceptions)

Hook Kids on Fishing !!!
The Florida Keys Ocean Festival is centered around celebrating our one of a kind local marine environment in the Florida Keys and educating the public on the best ways to make sure it's healthy and vibrant for many years to come.
Kids are the key to our future so showing them how to enjoy the benefits of our oceans and local waters while teaching them to respect all the living creatures in them is a positive step towards a brighter future for our environment.

Donations to Mote Marine Laboratory are encouraged to help this fishing program reach out to more children in the future.  Fill out the registration form below and a confirmation of your registration will be emailed back to you.
For web issues or questions, please call Jason at 305-393-6022.

You can email Jason at fishnthekeys@comcast.net to be placed on a waiting list and you will be contacted if another registered child has canceled.
