What are you supporting and where does the money go ?
A great question to ask.....
Answer:
Since 1955, Mote Marine Laboratory, a remarkable non-profit marine research organization, has been dedicated to the science of our seas and all the creatures living in them.
In the Florida Keys, Mote operates the Tropical Research Laboratory and Education Center in Summerland Key as well as the Living Reef Aquarium Exhibit at the Eco Discovery Center in Key West.
Coral reefs are one of the most critically important parts of our ocean's ecosystems. Here in Florida, we're so incredibly fortunate to have the only living barrier coral reef system in the continental U.S. located just a short distance off our southeastern coast....in the Florida Keys, the reefs are right in our aquatic backyards.

Coral Reefs provide habitat, food, shelter, and protection to more than 50% of our native fish and marine species living in Florida's waters.
Your donations, support, and revenue generated from the Protect Our Reefs License Plate program are the sole funding for the coral reef restoration education and research programs here in the Florida Keys.

As you can see.....we're successfully growing corals in the wild and creating the foundation for the restoration of our coral reefs in the Florida Keys...and around the planet.
Your support makes this possible.
